Dam / Network Privacy Device

Dam is a simple wearable that aims to bring control back to the data owner through a physical artefact, instead of a purely digital one. Via its display, it shows the user's data trickling into the network. Besides translating the information flow into a visual reminder, it gives countermeasures to this leak. Dam makes it possible to scramble the data released into the network. In dire situations, it also has an EMP function, shortly disabling any electronic device around the user. Bringing physicality to data flows while being a moving piece of aesthetics, Dam aims to be both a statement of data ownership and a safe haven of data privacy.
