The web page www.smart.com/forfour constitutes the online extension of the smart campaign “real car, real life”. However, the Internet campaign did not initially start with focussing on the vehicle itself, it rather began with a casting. The site’s presenters should be authentic and real. In the casting, Sandra, Olivia, Jean-Pierre, and Peter were found. They should put the smart forfour to the acid test in front of rolling cameras, and guide users through the entire web page. Consequentially, the page was designed as one single camera shot which can be forwarded and rewound interactively, giving its navigation a cinematic touch.
