Nature's Nectar / Preserving forests by producing sustainable honey

For generations, the people of Northwestern Zambia have been producing honey. Traditionally, a tree is stripped of it's bark and made into a cylindrical beehive, killing one tree for every hive. Bees naturally occupy and honey is harvested. This method was once sustainable, but with the growth of the honey market in Zambia, it is no longer.

Nature's Nectar provides top bar beehives that last 10x longer than traditional hives, are culturally appropriate, don't take from the local forests, and protect bee populations. The goal of Nature's Nectar is to produce sustainable honey and improve the lives of at least 5000 beekeepers and families.
