More meat,less water. / Poster

More meat,less water.
More meat,less water.

There are 783 million people worldwide who do not have access to clean water. However, population growth, economic growth and increased personal wealth have shifted dietary habits from starch to more water-consuming meat or dairy products. It takes 3,500 liters of water to produce one kilogram of rice, and 15,000 liters of water for one kilogram of beef. But the water consumed by rich countries because of the large demand for meat or dairy products is concentrated in the poor countries that play producers. Hope that by the poster, the meat we eat is to irrigate the water that other people need, and we are depriving them of water resources.
