As founders, we have trekked the peaks of Thailand ever since we were young. From our journeys, we have noticed a significant problem of access to healthcare: villagers from Thai hill-tribes who fall ill have to walk 4 km to health stations, a journey that is impossible in the rainy seasons. These villagers are often forced to sleep through their pain. With that in mind, we have translated our hobby of trekking into The Jungle Box Project, an organisation that provides medicine boxes and water filtration systems to alleviate villagers’ common illnesses. Ultimately, our goal is to donate 100 boxes, of which we have successfully donated 44.
