ReX System changes the way how firefighters interact with one another by deploying new technologies like bone conduction earpiece and throat microphone.Currently in the industry, the firefighters either have handheld walkie talkies or in built microphone in their helmet. The problems in having a mask and an outdated walkie talkie product produce a muffed voice that communicate poorly on their status. Sudden cardiac arrest consists of 45% of on-duty deaths per annum among firefighters caused by the heat generated by the fire and their protective gear. ReX helps supervisors on the ground to monitor his/her fellow subordinates’ heartbeat rate.
