Living independently - in a community was a participatory action research project initiated by the School of Public Life with physically disabled people and their allies who believe in self-determination. The group came together to explore the opportunities that physically disabled people have and the obstacles they face when they want to live independently. Besides publishing and disseminating our research results and presenting the perspectives of disabled people in many important events and conferences, the group was part of a successful advocacy campaign to make Budapest Metro Line 3 accessible to everyone regardless of their ability.
