Quality Education for All / Improved learning

Children aged 6 -10 living in slum communities in Kolkata district (West Bengal, India), who attend government schools are often first generation learners (have never been to school or are drop-outs from schools). When they are enrolled in age appropriate classes and find themselves unable to cope. The project integrates inclusive education in Government primary schools where these children (with a focus on including children with special needs) are enrolled to improve their learning levels. The project thereby works with 45 schools, its teachers and other stakeholders in providing quality education and a child friendly environment.
