Originally, KW43 was commissioned by Grey Global Group to design a virtual birthday card. We took this task much further, developing not just a simple birthday e-mail, but creating three figures, nicknamed “Greynauts“, who now function as personal ambassadors for the Group. In charmingly original fashion, they deliver birthday wishes or Season’s Greetings to the agency’s clients, employees and friends, or e.g. pass along an invitation to the agency’s 50th jubilee. Addressees can be contacted by postcard, poster or e-mail. The latter contains either the film file as an attachment or the website link. The style conforms to the corporate identity of the Grey Global Group. The reduced coloring results from Grey’s own corporate colors: gray, orange and white. The corporate symbol – an orange ball – has been endowed with a new function. The three Greynaut characters are based on one and the same 3D figure, but, with their own individual movements and their own distinctive roles, they are perceived as three different personalities.
