ULUTSHA Wellness Wokshops / Reactive strategy against GBV

ULUTSHA Wellness Wokshops

Ulutsha was started in response to the high rate of violence perpetrated against the women and children of Dunoon. Most importantly for us, was that a pro-active intervention was necessary to reduce the violent nature & frequency of offences being committed. For us, this is only possible through engaging young and adolescent boys. Existing interventions aimed at GBV response and preventions are predominantly focused on the victims of GBV, the majority being women and girls. These are often a reactive stance and, although necessary, we feel that more can be achieved through holistic and meaningful engagement with young and adolescent boys.
