Discipline: Interior Architecture

The warmth of a wooden house tells stories of cozy comfort and the peace and quiet of yesteryear. The designers were interested in recreating the beauty of another era in this home interior. They used traditional natural materials, such as paper, grass, and timber in a nod to natural materials found in traditional construction. The designers also wanted to raise awareness about how synthetic construction materials are damaging to the environment. It is their belief that the future of the earth is in our hands, and that we need to rethink our design approach.
