With the need analysis gathered from Adeke Village, we discovered that 90% of these local women farmers and their families spend 1-2 hours daily crushing the millet and beans flour (regular meal) with grinding stone or if they have to grind they walk for about 1hour-1hr 30 minutes to get a fuel powered grinding machine and little is done on the farm or at home because of the hours spent in grinding the millet /beans seeds to flour.
67% of 110 of our local needs assessment respondents said poverty is the most pressing issue. This project will employ local youth to build, install and the women will operate the grinding machines.
