In Uganda 63% of the population does not have access to safe water, this contributes 70% of all diseases diagnosed.
Tusafishe designs and builds low cost, high volume biological water filters for schools, recruits the local students to undergo a training during the installation of the school filter, so they can maintain it and also bring the technology to their homes and communities.
Because the communities stop cooking water with firewood, Tusafishe additionally saves forests.
