With more than 10 million child laborers below 14, India leads the world, and the state of Madhya Pradesh gathers more than half of them. They are often diagnosed with serious developmental delays and the trauma of lost childhood and feelings of permanent insecurities are difficult to overcome. Our solution has been to open special training centers to offer them tailored educational, physical, mental and emotional support in order to ultimately reintegrate these children into public schools. So far, 100% of our 2,550 former child laborers who have gone through these centers have been enrolled and stayed into public schools.
