THE GENERAL KYOTO / Hotel interior design

THE GENERAL KYOTO
THE GENERAL KYOTO

Discipline: Interior Architecture

Discipline: Interior Architecture

THE GENERAL KYOTO is Kyoto’s first “dispersed” hotel, composed of five different buildings that act functionally as one hotel. The guests staying at any one of the units may use all of the buildings’ communal spaces, which include lounges, gym, a Tatami Salon, etc. The hotel buildings are filled with art and fine craft, a collaboration with talented artists and designers. Walking between the five buildings is an important part of the experience, giving the visitor a chance to explore and feel the essence, lifestyle and culture of this ancient city.
