The background to Sony Germany’s new microsite
is the introduction of terrestrial digital television in Germany and the de-activation of analogue receivers. To prevent black outs all over the country, the microsite conceived and designed by Pixelpark illustrates everything viewers need to know about digital TV and the process of changeover. An interactive test along the lines of “what type of viewer are you?” guides the user with a few mouse clicks to an ideal product configuration to enter the world of digital TV. In addition to introducing new products, ranging from set-top-boxes to digital WegaTV sets sporting integrated decoders for terrestrial and satellite reception, the microsite offers an informative and entertaining vision of the fascinating world of this novel interactive medium. The site was built using Flash, and pictures can be edited and maintained via database access.
