Online Self Promotion

My desire as a designer and graphic artist to create just the right personalized appearance for myself was behind the invention of the “youdid” supermarket at www.you-did.com. Appearing in the form of a supermarket is ideal because it enables me to show the most diverse areas of my work in an integrated graphical superstructure, whilst revealing my own love of supermarkets. Different views of the supermarket’s interior represent individual subject areas: the “information strawberry” introduces the supermarket and guides you through it, providing information about the “range of goods”, with freelance work and awards on display at the “chiller counter”. Commercial work is introduced by the “product shelf,” with packaging I designed myself. In the design of the graphics and contents, it was essential for me to embed the different subject areas carefully and not too superficially into the animations in the supermarket. The visitor can find his or her own way round the supermarket and be continually amused by discovering new details time and again.
