Due to dense city population, the demands of high-rise residential buildings are increasing as open green areas in the city are gradually disappearing. High-rise buildings are recognized as a vertical city and affect our living style significantly. The focus of the design will be on how to utilize the kitchen island with the modularized veggie-green Potted plant with self-powered lighting and watering systems by its plant type, light, water and fish. This green, self-powered, and sustaining veggie kitchen island system will not only increase the green areas in a vertical city, but also promote an eco-friendly living style.
