CADDIE / Smart Trash Can

Generally, people place trash can out of their view due to the stench and for aesthetic reasons. This raises problems of wasting user’s movement and reducing the accessibility of the bin. As a result, long distance to the bin causes inconvenience to the user, hence the trash is often not thrown away immediately.
‘Caddie’ is a smart trash can that automatically comes to the user whenever it is called out. It allows immediate disposal of garbage by minimising human movement. Sealed trash can lid opens automatically only when it is used, so the stench is minimised. ‘Caddie’ facilitates more convenient and efficient waste management at home.
