Restoration of Fish Stove / community network

The fish stove in “Hua-Zhai Village, which was inscribed in the “List of 100 most endangered sites” by the World Monuments Fund (WMF) in 2003, is an important fish processing facility on the island where settlement residents exchange information and feelings. However, the depletion of fisheries and the migration of population have led to the hollowing and aging of the community. Funded by the Tseng Family, the restoration project started and received the technical guidance by the settlement residents. The restored fish stove recreates the landscape of the local community, and gives full play to the functions of sightseeing and teaching.
