Mwangabora solar lamp is a simple design concept. Its a solar lamp designed from old kerosene lanterns which are recycled. It uses LED for lighting and has a small solar panel, USB charger, and a dimming switch. Mwangabora is made locally in rural communities by youths and community members with no formal education, and using simple tools. key design concepts- sustainable, recycle, green-tech, minimalist, relevance, cost efficient.
The Mwangabora lamps are used by rural communities with no electricity for lighting and charging mobile phones.
