Koenig & Bauer, the oldest printing press manufacturer in the world, marked its 200th anniversary with a rebrand. The challenge was to tell and package the company's rich history but with a focus on the future. The solution was an anniversary box of three publications—two books and a 13-poster set—called “People, Machines, Ideas.” Company employees' fascination with printing provided the inspiration. The “People” book highlights individuals who played a key role in the company's historical milestones. The “Machines” poster set shows what makes printing so fascinating. The “Ideas” book explores the depth and scope of the print industry. All three elements are packaged as a branded box with sophisticated corporate design.
