The exhibition “Raus aus dem Spießerglück” reflects on the duality of the 1960s which we tend to remember for their spirit of renewal and innovative design. Life and attitudes in the countryside, however, were a far cry from urban progressiveness. The exhibition concept developed by mind the gap! design showcases this decade of contradictions through image distortions, contrasting historical black-and-white photographs with modern colors and designs. In doing so, the exhibition modules themselves appear to be alien objects deliberately placed within and between the old buildings.
