Breath marks Project / Making together public space

is a public art project at Doosan elementary school in Geumchon, Seoul. This was a garbage incineration plant for school sinc00e 1985; it stopped operating due to the changes in waste disposal system and now regenerated into a cultural place for local residents. The goal was to create a secure community space for this manufacturing area.
We covered the façade with handcrafted tiles that hold people’s breaths, collected traces of blown inks. Eventually this visualized breaths become the incineration plant itself. Introduction, Survey and the workshop participatory program was organized and about 800 people joined this project.
