In a world where sleep can be perceived as ‘wasted time’, sleep deprivation is one of the biggest problems affecting mental and physical health. Sleep hygiene is a simple way of creating better sleep patterns. Reducing blue light, stress or phone use before bed can easily improve sleep quality.
Pinch uses behavioural economics to improve sleep hygiene. It provides a sleep tracker to track sleep quality once the user surrenders their phone to the device. Pinch can determine when is best to wake up, removing the sluggish morning feeling by waking at a light point in a sleep cycle by using warm, amber light to gently wake them in the morning.
