In-between / Experience Design for Honoring the Dead in China

The aim of this project is to provide an environmentally-friendly way for the Chinese young generation living in developed cities to honor the dead in the future. My design took its inspiration from traditional elements in Chinese culture and intends to convert them to create a series of public honoring spaces located in communities, where the interaction between users and the space was also designed. Moreover, an interactive light installation was placed in the Yin space for building a communication channel between the living and the dead.
