Empowering poor Women / job training and placements

Empowering poor Women

The project covers 2 major areas:
1.Economic empowerment to poor and vulnerable women from the slum of Nairobi through integrated training and subsequently placing them into decent Blue-Collar Jobs either as nannies,house-helps,cleaners,tea-girls e.t.c
2. Advocacy for better working conditions for Blue-Collar jobs
Beneficiaries are recruited through grassroots mechanisms,receive a one month training and thereafter placed into employment where they earn a decent salary.The aim is to financially empower them and at the same time reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS infections among the beneficiaries.So far,we have empowered 2,500 women
