Since 2011, Seeds of Hope aims to promote agroecology in order to ensure economic independence of small farmers’ communities, preservation of biodiversity and resilience to climate change, in Uttarakhand, India. It has been implemented in close partnership with Navdanya, an Indian organization founded by Vandana Shiva.
To tackle those issues, the project has implemented several actions, like training to agroecology, seeds conservation and sensitizing activities for children and the general public.
In 2017, SOL and Navdanya were awarded the Gender and Climate Solutions prize organized by WECF and the UN agency Women and Gender Constitiency.
