Tunsai Water Filters / Ceramic water purifiers

Due to the poor quality of available drinking water sources and the lack of centralized systems for delivering safe water to households, most Cambodians collect and treat water by boiling. This results in extra costs for poor families and increased carbon emissions. Families that do boil improperly also face negative health impacts. The innovative Tunsai ceramic water purifier (CWP) provide safe drinking water to Cambodian families via locally made affordable water treatments that effectively remove bacteria without boiling. In addition, the CWPs have a positive impact on the economic and social well-being of the region generating employment.
