Empowering Women through training & job placements

The Mother Goose Kenya in conjuction with AMURT-Kenya conducted a training and job placement program targeting 2,000 disadvantaged and poor women between the age 19-24 from the slums of Nairobi both in rural and urban Kenya
The overall objective of the program was to create employment and reduce the incidence of transactional sex in urban informal settlements and rural Kenya. Studies have shown that lack of employment amongst women is a major contributor to transactional sex and consequently the high incidence of HIV and AIDS.
Mother Goose Kenya trained Adolescents Girls and Young Women(AGYWs) in batches of 60 per month for a period of 12 m
