Outdoor electric transmission line icing for climate reasons in winter increases the weight of overhead lines, and even causes the inclination, collapse and disconnection of pole and tower as well as electric wire dancing and other phenomena brought about by nonuniform icing and random deicing in serious cases.We present a brand-new solution of circuit deicing with mechanical method as the major one while thermal method as a supplement after analyzing various deicing devices, and design a new deicing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) device on this basis, which can provide convenience for deicing operations on overhead wires.
