Birdyguarder / Industry

Birdyguarder
Birdyguarder

"Birdyguarder" is a bird-shaped CCTV for Hanok. "Hanok" is a traditional Korean house made of wooden framework. The basis of Hanok is harmony with nature, and it is constructed of natural trees and decorated with natural objects. However, the existing artificial CCTV design does not satisfy the value of Hanok’s "harmony with nature”. Sotdae is a bird made of wood or stone by sitting on a pole or on a stone post which is the guardian of a village. The Korean 'bird' weeps when a welcome guest comes and there is good news if the ‘bird’ nests. The village guardian Sotdae inspired us to make CCTV in Korean traditional houses.
