Nebula - LED Light Stick Rental System / for E-Waste Problem in Large-Scale Activities

Nebula - LED Light Stick Rental System
Nebula - LED Light Stick Rental System

Concerts, ball games, and others can often create a large amount of garbage. Our exploratory research shows that the majority of the LED light sticks used in a larger venues are disposed of right after the events, and those that were taken home as souvenirs are almost never reused again.
We designed a LED light stick rental system called Nebula which enables and encourages the reuse and recycling of these products. We also proposed several special interactions through the Internet-of-Things technology to create interactions between the audience, thereby increasing the engagement of the users of the light sticks throughout the event.
