With the environmental changes, an increasing number of animals are endangered. Biologists and preservationists start taking actions, but how to measure length of animals, collection of animals’ vital signs and subsequent tracking become a necessary problem to be considered. The traditional capture of data acquisition not only threatens people’s safety, but also damages animals. The “guardian” UAV that we designed is a new-type UAV that is used to supervise animals. It is replaced for searching, measurement and subsequent tracking. This not only guarantees safety of man and animals, but also saves manpower and material resources.
