Whalecho / Prevent fall

Whalecho
Whalecho

Ice climbing is often accompanied with danger. As a safety measure, climbers set up screws in the ice to anchor them every few meters they climb. As such, the lives of the climbers rest upon the effectiveness of these ice screws. Varying ice conditions mean that screws must compensate for the way they are tightened, melting of ice due to sunlight, and many other factors. Whalecho can optimize the safest route for climbers to follow while setting screws. When light sensors on compatible screws detect melting of the surrounding ice, it can automatically tighten the affected screws. By doing this, it can minimize climbing risk.
