The concept is to improve the efficiency of subway repair and speed-up the inspection. New York City’s subway system operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week — but riders have to brace for more delays and shutdowns in the future due to the againg system. There are 33 stations in the system where more than half of its structural parts need repair. However, both human error and track defect are being blamed for the delays and accidents. In the future, we have to deal with more aged subways and trains. Drones will become the most efficient underground helper to avoid accidents and reduce breakdowns.
