With the exhibition “What’s new, Pussycat?”, the MMK (Museum für Moderne Kunst) presents new purchases of the last years in context with works of the collection Ströher, containing pop art mainly. The diversity of the works did not allow to show one work in behalf of all. So the song line „What’s new, Pussycat?“ by Tom Jones was chosen as a motto and a motif with a young woman holding up a cat was photographed, that illustrates the question brightly and cheerfully. In the center of marketing activities stands the invitation, including a sound chip with the song line on it, in a circulation of 3,000. The music will arouse high attention, sympathy and interest with press und public when the invitation is received – and it will stir even more interest when the invitation is shown around due to its exciting and surprising features. Posters, blow-ups, ads and other print and online media will complement the concept with variations of the motif.
