In Brazil, waste generation grew five times more than its population in 2016, resulting in increased collection service costs. Besides high monetary costs, the use of collection trucks results in a higher carbon footprint. The Urban Drone Collector (UDC) concept is based on recycling centers that have drones that collect the home dry waste (plastics, glass, paper and metals). The citizen, is responsible for grouping the waste in colored bags and request its collection. With the UDC, the low transportation costs and the renewable energy of drones, will promote people a new culture of generation and collection of dry waste.
