New research findings are revealing new facts about the imagery of antiquity. In response, Frankfurt’s Liebighaus presents the exhibition "Athens. Triumph of Imagery". Visitors are transported back to the Athens of antiquity in a special way. A succession of 12 rooms takes the visitors on a tour of the Attic festive year, letting them experience the omnipresence of mythology – just as the original citizens of Athens did. The design preserves the aura of the exhibits, enabling direct encounters with them. Context panoramas merge images, text and animations in a composition that deepens visitors’ understanding of the exhibits.
