Odd creatures: soft, unusual, off-putting and irritating. The visual theme defines the cover of the book. Leather-like, soft, flabby, simple, unusual and different. X-rays form the basis for most of Ea Bertrams work. She conceives and develops her art in a germ-free, unusual space. The typographic implementation of the content conveys transparent, shiny sterility. The opacity of the paper makes the information a tactile, tangible part of her creation, an objet dart in itself. Art provokes confrontation. The strength of the books concept lies in the exciting choreography of the objects on the white surfaces and the varied interplay of the full-size pictures with picture sequences. The typography becomes an element of the work without disrupting it. This book is rounded off with a tactile, unusual plastic cover that successfully conveys the design language of the inside of the book to the outside viewer.
