Color Runs can be fun, but the colored powders caused a public tragedy in Taiwan. Due to inappropriate use and unsafe measures taken by the operator at a summer music party, a dust explosion occurred and resulted in 484 injuries and 15 casualties. Significant social and medical resources have come to the victims’ aid; however, many people blamed them for joining the color powder party. This made us wonder why people would blame the “victims” instead of the “perpetrators.” By presenting the idea of “Just-world Theory”, we hope people could think twice before blaming the victims.
