One in every four asylum seekers in Europe is a child. They suffer from severe PTSD and cannot get a restful night of sleep. Lee pledges to become these kids’ confidant and ease their integration into their new home country. Surrounded by a silicon band, Lee is a cost-efficient wearable that integrates established technology to track the child’s sleep. Upon an abrupt movement caused by distress, Lee uses a combination of light and sound to create a nest in which the child feels safe. The data recorded by Lee can also serve future therapy sessions. With Lee by their side, children can see that a brighter future awaits them.
