In the context of new town planning of Hong Kong, the community bonding and street culture are vanishing in which diminishes indigenous practices and discourages place making by residents on street.
‘Open Storey’ is a place making project to facilitate the connection between residents, local political and commercial stakeholders, and the place they establish the community’s bonding and identity. It aims to create a meaningful place for particular local community whereby the design will enable community engagement through stories and information exchange, and foster social bonding and identity building.
