The exhibition offers for the first time a comprehensive overview of the deportation of the Jews from Frankfurt between 1941 and 1945. Over 10,000 Jews were deported to the ghettos, concentration and extermination camps in the East.
The main focus of the exhibition is on the life stories of a representative group of individuals. These are vividly portrayed through personal testimonies, documents and photos. The deportations from Frankfurt and the fates of the displaced persons in the camps and ghettos are reconstructed from the perspective of the victims. The exhibition also features films, audio stations and interactive information.
Kaddish is the traditional Jewish prayer praising God, trusting in the resurrection of the dead.
