The Emotion Whisperer translates body language and emotions into haptic feedback. There are three steps to achieving this: glasses that contain an integrated wireless camera, capture facial images and stream them to a smartphone. An application that uses emotion recognition software is able to recognize the intensity level of a particular desired emotion. That data is sent to a stone-like handheld product: the 'whisperer'. The information is translated into an intensity level of a vibration. This means that a visually impaired person can feel the broadness of somebody’s smile.
