Shan Chen / concepts for public area

Shan Chen

Urban construction should adapt to the modern life today——more efficient, more connected and more environmently-friendly.
So we come up with this idea——binary city. It's a hexagonal shaped city system concept. We had this concept after maximizing the usage of an area by changing the district pattern from square to hexagonal hive-cellular shape. The so called Binary City is actually binary junctions: you only have two options at the crossroad — left or right.
We have three obvious advantages: travel more safely, with better efficiency and environment-friendly.
Everyone can start a day's routine within a more reachable distance.
