shift. is an extremely modular, sustainable and flexible room concept for maximum efficiency on a minimum of habitable surface. It is a basic grid with nine surfaces of 2.5 m². The living space not in current use can be minimized by sliding away the elements, while at the same time the area needed is expanded. All moving elements are based on a simple frame where personalized modules for such things as entertainment, storage and power generation can be attached. The elements can be slid manually or programmed in preset positions for one-click shifting. Thus, the living space of 22.5 m² automatically reacts to the needs of the inhabitant.
