Ambient Hob is a variable kitchen platform. An entirely inductive surface intelligently recognizes cookware which is itself rotated to adjust the cooking temperature and thus eliminates unidirectional knob– or touch interfaces. This new yet almost archaic interaction paradigm paired with a holistic spatial concept allows for entirely new kitchen and home configurations. One can cook and eat here but also just spend time with friends and family all in one place. Our multidirectional approach can adapt to a wide range of divers social and cultural backgrounds.
