Including Koreans, Asians eat rice as staple food. In average, they wash rice 4 times to cook and 5.6 times more volume of water then rice is thrown away. Around 16,555 tons of rice water is thrown away by 'A Family in Seoul' in 'A Day' and it costs 32 billion Korean won annually. Seen from the whole of Korea to the Asia, tremendous amount of water is thrown away.
To purify water clean enough for fish to survive from the rice water, we need 440 times more water than rice water. The amount of thrown-away water is tremendous but the amount of water to purify is much more.
