Based on this train of thought, the “fangyuan” dining table aims at inheriting the traditional concept of "tianyuandifang," and resolves a problem in daily use. Because of the special way of cooking in China, cuisines may become cold soon during dining in winter. Thus, the “fangyuan” dining table designs a warmer under the squared “sand plate” in the center, keeping cuisines warm all the time, meanwhile, metaphorizes food cultivated on earth (the “sand plate”). When people eating food around the table, they may feel they are holding a kind of ceremoney that worshipping sky.
